Can you believe it is mid-November?!

We’ve been having so much fun all year with the Pink Owl Creations Swaps, and I cannot wait to see how we wrap up 2017 with our December Holi-YAY Swap!

Whether you are new to swapping (scratching your head wondering what it is), one that participates a few times a year, or one that jumps on board each and every time, keep reading.

Each swap is posted as a Facebook Event. The specific details are posted and if you want to join in, just choose GOING and you will receive all the additional information needed.

Ideally one of our fabulous members will have invited you to join us. If you found us on your own, you will be contacted by me and added accordingly. US ONLY participants currently. (If you live elsewhere and are interested, contact me direct.)

The cost of the box of goodies you curate for your partner + shipping. Your package should be valued at a minimum of $10 before shipping. You are more than welcome to spend more on your partner, but it is not to be expected.

I am not responsible for any flakers. When you sign up remember you are taking a risk. I do my best to prevent this from happening, but of course I cannot make someone send a package.

If you flake out and do not send a swap gift box, you will be forever banned from the group and any future swaps. All group members are made aware of any participant that does not follow through. Many of us are in different groups and you do not want a bad reputation, so please do not sign up if you will not follow through.

Until next time.

Your Holi-YAY! Box will need to include at least 4 winter holiday inspired items.
1 Edible Treat (ask your receiver about any allergies)

…you may include additional items and while greatly appreciated it is not to be expected.

Sign up closes at midnight on November 22nd

Package to be mailed and received by December 9th

a) This helps us all be accountable for mailing on time
b) We ALL want to see the fun packages that are received!

I’d be thrilled to have you join us!

Until Next Time,

I’ve often said that gratitude is learning to recognize and express appreciation for the benefits we have received. This means constantly being on the lookout for blessings, making each day a treasure hunt. It means being intentional about giving thanks for the blessings that come our way.

Many post what they are thankful for on Facebook and other social media sites and I thought why not create a little post daily myself.

I have had a sick toddler all week and am already starting off behind, so today is day 1 and day 2.
Hope this inspires you today!

Until next time,

Welcome to the 9th Annual Halloween/Day of the Dead themed celebration known as the 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN 2017!

I am super excited to be a Wicked Blogger again this year!

Once again there is a superb list of Wicked Blogs that joined in this 31 Days extravaganza, so you'll have a plethora of Halloween goodness to feast your eyes on all month long. The challenge for the Wicked Blogs is to participate all month by posting a project each and every day in October. If they complete the task, they will earn fierce bragging rights and a pretty amazing survivor button to feature on their blog, and join the elite group of past Wicked Blog participants.
The criteria for featured projects in 2017 has broadened. Instead of limiting projects to rubber stamping, they will be allowing any handmade or hand created Halloween or Day of the Dead themed projects.

My project to start the month off is a blast from the past - who doesn't remember and love the Lil' Grumpies from Smeared Ink!

Today's project is an ATC card featuring one of those little guys and all his grumpy cuteness.

Paper Studio  Chat It Halloween Paper Stack
Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die
dylusions Stamp Set
Simon Says Stamps Chicken Wire Stencil
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
Stampin Up Whisper White Pigment Inkpad
Bic Marking Tuxedo Black Marker
Art Mind Beeswax

Follow the fun and see what each Wicked Blogger is up to today!

See you tomorrow!

Your swap package is to include the following:

1 Halloween theme mug or cup
Editable Treats (ask the receiver about any allergies)
1 extra Halloween theme item of your choice
…you may include additional items and while greatly appreciated it is not to be expected.

Sign Up closes at midnight on September 27th.
Swap Names posted by midnight on September 28th.
Package to be mailed and received by October 5th.

I cannot stress this enough – PLEASE DO NOT MAIL LATE. Everyone wants to have time to enjoy their mug during the season, not after.

Until next time.

  •       The full moon is a time to release which no longer serves us
  •       Great time to cleanse your space
  •       A time to reflect on how sweet life is, like a bowl full of perfectly ripe strawberries
  •       Take a moment to reflect on the growth you've seen since Spring

We gather tonight by the light of the moon,
to celebrate the season, and rejoice.
May the next turn of the Wheel bring us love
and compassion, abundance and prosperity,
fertility and life.
As the moon above, so the earth below

How did you connect with the full moon?

Until next time.

Wow! Time really goes by quickly.

Today is my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY with Fun Stampers Journey.

I could not have chosen a better fit for my love of paper crafting. This company is a-ma-zing and their products are perfect for my crafting style (and sometimes getting me out of my comfort zone with new products to try)!

So, you are probably like ya- ya- ya. Cool and whatever. BUT, I have an awesome anniversary gift for you and a few extra surprises too.

For the entire month of January, I will give you 10% off your entire order (before tax & shipping). Get it – 1 year… and since 1% doesn’t make sense, I just added a zero to the end. (Just go with my wacky humor, lol.)

My actual anniversary date is 01/25…so for the whole YEAR of 2017…if you order on the 25th of the month, I will give you 10% off (before tax & shipping).

It is easy to take advantage of these discounts – just email me your order and I will send you a PayPal invoice, minus the 10% discount. You never share your credit card info with me and the items will be delivered to your door direct from the company.

Pretty neato huh? I thought so too. (insert winky face, lol)

You can find my online shop at www.funstampersjourney.com/inkyaddict

If you do not have a Journey Coach, drop me a line and I would be thrilled to answer any questions, show you these awesome products and if you’re local, I’d love to have you join me at my house for our monthly crafty days. They are free and filled with fun, food, friendship.

You can email HERE.

Until next time.

For January, Richard has designed the "My World" Bloom Box to celebrate travel and home.
You will love this stamp set because it is a perfect combo of adventure and cherishing home. Enjoy!

You can order yours today at my online store www.funstampersjourney.com/inkyaddict

If you have any questions, you can email me at HERE.

Until next time.

Pink Owl Creations has hosted a monthly swap for several years. The last few months have been very challenging (I am sure it was obvious as my absence grew due to personal reasons).

I have decided to dissolve the monthly swap group. After several years and making many new friends, I feel the time has come to let it go. It takes an enormous amount of time to plan, organize, follow up, etc.
December 2016 will be our last month to play.

Don’t worry! I have some exciting theme specific swaps for 2017 – just on a smaller scale.
Hope you join in on one next year.

The group will go to a quarterly swap group instead of monthly.

The swap months will be:

March 2017 – St. Patrick’s Day

June 2017 – Annual Coffee Mug Swap

October 2017 – Halloween, need I say more, lol.

December 2017 – Christmas, fa-la-la-la-la!

The groups will be limited to 10 people and only individuals that I know personally or someone in the group can vouch for until I get to know them better.

Shorter mail time.

Sign up by the 1st of the month
Partner List posted by the 3rd of the month
Package to be mailed by the 10th of the month
All packages should be received with photo shared by the 15th of the month
Value of package before shipping should be $10.00

Until next time,

New Year resolutions. Statistically, 45% of Americans usually make them, 17% infrequently make them, 38% never make them, according to Forbes.

I personally LOVE them! I enjoy the whole goal setting process. I make “resolutions” all during the year.

My resolutions for 2017 –

1. JOURNAL MORE – I feel I can add this to my daily quiet/devotional time, by jotting down my thoughts for the day.

2. TRY NEW THINGS - Per the book, I am reading – say YES more often. I am such an introvert and shy person that I am constantly wishing I would just “go for it” more often.

3. FITNESS/HEALTH - Get back into a fitness routine. The last year was such a roller coaster with my health that I let this side of life get pushed aside. I know I feel better mentally and physically when I move my body.

4. GETTING BACK TO WHAT I LOVE - Sharing my love of paper crafts with more people. I have been a fun Stampers Journey Coach for a year and I have never really shared that with too many people.

5. SPEND LESS, SAVE MORE – I am not an over spender or buyer of useless things. I usually buy things based on the quality and usefulness of the item. I want to continue this momentum.

6. QUALITY FAMILY TIME/TRAVEL – I want to focus on the quality of time spent with my family. The best way I know to do this is travel with them. This will take us out of our routine and away from the things that nag at us “to get done” and allow us to genuinely be present with the ones we love.

7. TAKE MORE PHOTOGRAPHS – I have all these lovely and great quality cameras/lenses and I rarely get them out to take photos or video. Sad really.

8. RELAX MORE – I can be very intense and a workaholic in about 2 seconds flat. 2016 was better, but still needs to be worked on.

9. GARDEN – I want Madeline and I to build and maintain a little garden. This could be interesting. LOL

10. CLASSES – I want to take more classes this year. I love learning new things and find it feeds my soul in a good way.

Are you in the 45%, 17% or 38% category and why?

Until next time.

Happy New Year to you all! With the most sincerity, I wish you all a lovely and productive 2017. May all your goals, dreams, and wishes come true!

Each year (I believe this is my 9th year) I have chosen a Word of the Year. 2017 will be no exception. My word for this year will be…drumroll…

Definition of consistent: 1 archaic :  possessing firmness or coherence
2 a :  marked by harmony, regularity, or steady continuity :  free from variation or contradiction
b :  marked by agreement :  compatible —usually used with with
c :  showing steady conformity to character, profession, belief, or custom
3 :  tending to be arbitrarily close to the true value of the parameter estimated as the sample becomes large
consistently play \-lē\ adverb

I feel this is a great word to focus on throughout the year to assist with all the goals I have for 2017!
Do you choose a word for the year and if so what is yours and why?

Until next time.
