Smeared and Smudged 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN 2013 Blog Hop - Day 6

Smeared and Smudged 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN 2013 Blog Hop - Day 6

I am so excited to be participating this year in Smeared and Smudged 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN 2013!
Did you know that this is their 5th annual Halloween/Day of The Dead celebration? How exciting is that!!

Here is my next project --- a standard size card and a smaller (shipping) tag. The tag idea came from a recent video that was shown by Lindsay on The Frugal Crafter blog. I really try and focus on using recycled and repurposed materials. A lot of what she does is the same way…making your own stencils, using different products to look like you have used something else, etc. Her website is great for the beginner or budget conscience crafter. She also has a tendency to make the “hoarding crafter” pull out supplies they may have forgotten about!!

Yesterday was also World Card Making Day 2013 and I always particapte. I made 40 of these cards and tags to send out to friends and family for Halloween, so I tried to keep them light weight for mailing purposes and simple enough to make a bunch!

On the tag I used:  Smeared Ink Stamp Set “Creepy Li'l Grumpies;  Close To My Heart Stamp Set  S558 “Halloween Friends”; Close to My Heart Black Archival Ink; Stampin UP Ink Pad in Whisper White; Martha Stewart punch; Stampin UP Pastels; Miscellaneous Shipping Tag, Black Tulle

On the card I used: Close To My Heart Stamp Set D1180 “Happy Haunting”; Close to My Heart Black Archival Ink; Bazzill Cardstock in: Black, Purple and White; Stampin UP Pastels; 3-D Pop Dots; Paper Studio Notecard in White;  Miscellaneous ribbon
