SSSD Halloween Card Swap

SSSD Yahoo Group had a Halloween Card Swap going on this month.
Here are my cards. I wanted them to be a teeny bit different, so I used different frames on each card. This of course did not happen. I ran out of a good quality black cardstock and could not cut intricate frames.

I embossed the black frames, again nope did not happen. I did emboss the heart eye patch to give it more of a textured look then added some bling and done!

Items used: Close To My Heart stamp set “Thriller” (was the September SOTM 2010), Close To My Heart Black Archival Ink, Close To My Heart White Daisy Cardstock, Bazzill Black Cardstock #10-1075, DCWV “Old World” paper stack, Queen & Co. ROX self-adhesive stones in Chocolate Delight, UTEE Ultra Thick Embossing Powder, Cricut Cartridge “Happy Hauntings”.

Bullet For My Valentine- Your Betrayal

...and here is my interpertation...
ATC card using  Smeared and Smudged Stamp Set "Femdom", random clipart chalked and inked then dipped in UTEE Powder and various black inks. Smiple and pretty I think.

Use Embellishments with Smudgy Antics - Week 1 of 2

Welcome back for another fortnight challenge with Smudgy Antics!
The theme for this challenge is to - Use Embellishments.

I kept it pretty simple. A standard sized card, stenciled the background, layered with a shiny metallic paper, another layer of stenciled background paper, stamped image colored in with metallic chalks, added some traditional fabric ribbon, made some paper fringe, used my Lifestyle Crafts Polka Dots embossing folder on some handmade paper and finished it off with a Stampin UP! Happy Birthday phrase. Too bad my photography skills are lame and the card looks so flat. :sigh:

Smeared and Smudged has their September Challenges posted.
Here is my entry for the FREAKY FREEBIE - September Challenge.

HOW IT WORKS: They will provide you with a digital stamp. Each entry must include this stamped image.
This month --- Make a project that uses SEX KITTEN from Smeared Ink's ZOMBIE PINUPS set!

Junk Funk Challenge - September 2013

SMEARED AND SMUDGED --- Junk Funk Challenge

The item was a toilet paper roll. I decided to make a place card/treat holder/home décor item. I currently do not have any yummy Halloween candies to show it as a treat holder, so I added some fun festive pumpkins to show it can be used as a place card or home décor item.

I used the Cricut cartridge Ribbons & Rosettes to make my rosette. The Smeared & Smudged stamp set “Quoth the Raven". Some Making Memories fuzzy ribbon, Stampin Up Whisper White pigment ink, Colorbox Chalk Ink in Black and dipped the bird into my Melting Pot for a fun 3-D image.

Mixed Media Mondays

My little creation from last night's Mixed Media Monday night online group
Each Monday night Tracy Weinzapfel hosts a live show on UStream. The goal is "to let it go" as she goes with whatever she is feeling at the moment. I like to personally challenge myself and paint alongside her in the time frame allotted. Sometimes this can be C-R-A-Z-Y!!! I love it! So much excitement! Check HER OUT HERE.  For the specific recap of the 09/09/13 Monday night gathering you can watch it here.

August Package Pals

When I heard that put together an August Package Pals I knew I wanted to join! My partner was a lady named Barbara all the way in New York. She specified she loves crafts, makes jewelry, but needed nothing specific. I thought “Hmmm…what does one give another that has everything?” That is when I came up with an “Autumn Themed” package. I started with a purple metal bucket that has the brightest and cutest lime green & orange polka dots all over it, tied some coordinating ribbon all along the handle, then stuffed it with—Autumn themed/colored: decorative paper clips & push pins, Post-Its with a “fall leaves” theme, Crystal Stickers in Pearl, SMOOCH Accent Ink in Pumpkin, a Painters Paint Pen in a Yummy Chocolate Brown, some Paper Accent Kraft Tags in assorted sizes, a set of k i memories bobbins in some fantastic autumn colors and finally stuffed the bottom of the little bucket with Werther’s Originals candies wrapped in their shiny gold wrappers, added an Autumn themed handmade card and WHOLIA! A little package for my pal that I hope she enjoys!  #packagepals #stars_sunshine

Make an ATC with Smudgy Antics Week 2

Welcome back for week 2 of the fortnight challenge with Smudgy Antics!
The theme for this challenge is to MAKE AN ATC.
My entry is using the S&S Stamp sets - December 2012 set called “Heart Wings” and June 2013 set called ” Morte”. I started by stamping the background with black ink and using an ultra thick embossing powder. I then stamped the heart images one on pattern paper and the other I colored in with a purple glitter chalk. I finished both by dipping them in my Melting Pot and molding into a 3-D shape. The sentiment was stamped and double dipped for a “domino effect”.
Being part of the Smeared & Smudged Monthly Rubber Club has made it easy to mix & match sets by having them right at my finger tips!  Here is more info on their Rubber Club .
If you decide to join, please make sure to use my name on your application as “referred by” !!!
Thanks so much!!!!
